GUY BANISTER
had life-long intimate ties to the Mob. During the 50s he was the FBI's Special Agent in Charge in Chicago, running the notorious Red Squads. Left the FBI in the late 50s and went to New Orleans, where he became house detective for Mob kingpin Carlos Marcello.
Formed the first World Anti-Communist League (WACL) chapter dealing with Latin Amererica; worked as liaison between CIA
and anti-Castro Cubans in New Orleans, including numerous terror & gun-running ops. Most famous
as an Oswald handler for CIA portrayed by Ed Asner in the film JFK. Like his friend and colleague David Ferrie, died mysteriously shortly after the JFK hit.
