WILLIAM CASEY started in the OSS and had a lifelong love for covert ops. After WWII, he headed US intel in Europe, working with GEHLEN and other Nazis. Under Nixon, he headed the SEC. Later, he was attorney to CIA agents and numerous CIA cut-outs. As Reagan's 1980 campaign director, he engineered the October Surprise. Became DCI in 1982, running countless illegal covert ops, including Iran-Contra. Died of a brain tumor just before he was scheduled to testifying before Congress abou this role in the scandal.
